Product Description
La Madeleine Anduze Pottery | La Madeleine Bacs À Oranger - DISCONTINUED
Going back to the 17th Century Anduze pots find their origins deep in the heart of the Cévennes' soil drawn forth by the craftsmanship of gifted potters.
Inspired by decorated ornamental Italian vases, these vases have imposed their style, setting a tone for the parks and gardens of stately homes and castles in the south of France.
Originally designed to plant orange and lemon trees, these large glazed planters were displayed in gardens and orange groves in ornate Southern aristocratic properties in the past ; as it is the case around the world today.
Still added manually, the garlands and family crest are the trademarks that guarantee the original provenance of the pots.
